CONTEXTIONARY - PRIVACY POLICY

 

1. Introduction

Contextionary respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how Contextionary collects, uses, shares and protects information from and about our subscribers, along with choices you can make about such information. It also contains other important privacy disclosures, such as how we may update the Policy and how you can contact us.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to your interaction with our websites (such as Contextionary.com) and mobile applications (such as Word Maze) that point to this Privacy Policy. It covers the privacy practice of Contextionary LLC. It applies to personal information about our subscribers. Personal information is information that identifies you or reasonably can be linked to information that identifies you.
Your interaction with Contextionary may include:

  • Use of our websites that point to this Policy

  • Use of our mobile applications

  • Phone, email and other electronic or written communications

  • Social media interactions

  • Surveys, contests and sweepstakes

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information that identifies you or that is associated with you in a number of ways, including information you provide to us, registration information, payment information, information we automatically collect, information collected by customer support, push notifications and local notifications.

3.1. Information You Provide

You may choose to provide us with information. Examples include:

  • Contact and identification information, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address or date of birth

  • Payment information, such as your payment card number and expiration date or gift card information

  • Demographic information, such as your age, gender, income range and occupation

  • Login and access credentials, such as your username and password for Contextionary accounts

  • Information you provide in a survey, contest, promotion or sweepstakes

  • Content you submit, such as photographs or texts

  • Location information, when you choose to allow the use of your device’s location

3.2. Registration Information

If you create an Account, you may be required to provide your name, e-mail address, a password and other information that helps us confirm that it is you accessing your account. We may do this through in-Game dialog boxes, which you may choose to skip. If you sign into our website or mobile application with Facebook Connect or Google Plus we will collect information that is visible via your Facebook or Google account such as: (1) your first and last name, (2) Facebook or Google ID, and (3) Profile Picture/URL. Your Account may be used to publicly identify you as part of social features of the Services, which may include user-to-user interaction, chat or messaging functionality, public leaderboards, head-to-head competition, and other similar features.

We may also offer you the option to complete a user profile that is visible to other Contextionary users. Your user profile may include a profile photo, a Contextionary username, your gender, biographic details that you provide, details about the games you play, and a Contextionary user ID number that is created by Contextionary and used to identify your profile.

The Contextionary username will be public and may be shown to other users, but will only permit access to information that is considered public or that you have designated as public in your user profile settings.

3.3. Payment Information

When you order any good or service through the website or the mobile application, including any virtual currency or virtual good, our payment processing service provider will collect your name, billing address, and complete credit card information that enables them to receive your payment. Our payment processing service provider may also retain this information to enable you to purchase additional items through our website or game application without having to re-enter it each time. Please note that purchase from third parties may also be subject to additional policies.

3.4. Information We Collect by Automated Means Online

When you use our websites or mobile applications (“online services”), Contextionary may collect certain information by automated means, using cookies and other technologies. This information may be used to provide a better-tailored purchasing experience and for market research, data analytics and system administration purposes. For instance, we may use this information to determine whether you have visited us before or are new to our website, to store your preferences and settings, and for compliance with our legal obligations, policies and procedures.
Our online services generally use web server logs to record information about your use of the services, such as your device type, operating system type, browser type, domain, system settings and IP address, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located. These logs also may record information such as the address of the webpage that referred you to our website and other information about your interaction with our websites, such as which pages you visit. This is a common practice that supports the operation of our online services.
We may also use third-party web analytics services, such as those of Google Analytics, in our online services. These service providers help us analyze how users use our online services. Information collected as a part of Google Analytics (including your IP address) is automatically sent to Google, and Google may place cookies to help with the analysis. 3.5. Information We Collect by Customer Support

When you ask for assistance from our Customer Support team, we will collect and store the contact information you provide such as your name and e-mail address, information about your game play or activity on the website game application, and your user name or ID number. We will also store the correspondence and any information contained within.

3.6. Push Notifications & Local Notifications

With your consent, we or our service providers may send push notifications to your mobile device to provide game application updates and other relevant messages. 4. How We Use Information

We use your personal information to provide products and services to you, communicate with you, and support our business functions, such as marketing and data analytics.

Please note that we may continue to send transactional emails, which contain information about a prior purchase or an ongoing service, even if you opt out of marketing emails or newsletters.

7.3. Mobile

Uninstall Contextionary Applications

You may uninstall the Word Maze application by following your standard uninstallation process in your mobile device.

7.4. Websites Analytics Services

We use certain analytics services such as Site Catalyst by Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics to gather information about our site visits or mobile app usage. 8. Other Important Considerations

8.1. Social Media Widgets

Our online services may include social media features (for example, a Facebook “Like” button). These features are connected to third parties and may allow such third parties to collect certain information, such as your IP address and which pages you visit on our websites. These social media features are not operated by Contextionary. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policies of the company providing the features.

8.2. Links to Other Websites

Our websites may link to other websites for your convenience and information. For instance, they may link to websites of product suppliers, manufacturers and service providers. These websites may be operated by companies not affiliated with us. Linked websites may have their own privacy notices, which we strongly suggest you review if you visit them. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any website that we do not control and that does not point to this Privacy Policy. Your interactions with these websites are governed by the privacy policies of the company operating the websites.

8.3. Children

Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users deemed to be children under their respective national laws. If we learn that we have collected personal information of any child we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible. We urge parents to instruct their children to never give out their real names, addresses or phone numbers without permission. We recognize a special obligation to protect personal information obtained from young children.

8.4. Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our information practices or relevant laws. We will post a notice on Contextionary.com and other websites that point to this Privacy Policy to notify you of any substantive changes to the way we collect and use information. We will indicate at the top of the Privacy Policy when it was last updated.
